Ecocentric Mom and Baby Box Sept 2013

Guess what came in the mail today?  That's right, my ecocentric baby box!  I was super excited as it wasn't supposed to arrive until tomorrow.  Ecocentric mom offers three types of subscription boxes:  the mom box, the mom to be box, and the mom and baby box.  All three are monthly boxes and shipped via USPS.  I chose the mom and baby box.  Here is are first look photos.

I was excited to see so many full size products since you never know what you will get.  Ecocentric mom always includes two cards.  The first card gives tips on how to improve your life.  This month they talked about getting a workout routine started and how to avoid triclosan in school supplies.  The second card tells you about each item in the box and gives a price which I really appreciate!
Now to see what was inside!
Susan Brown's Baby Dead Sea Salt Foot Soak ($16.99) was my first mom item.  This is something I probably never would have bought for myself but now that I have it I might dig out the foot soaker tub and relax one of these nights.  I am actually kind of excited to try it and I love that it does not contain any parabens, phthalates, or mineral oils.
Bella Organics Crisp Apple Lip Balm ($3.50) is my second mom item, and it is nice both were full size! I love lip balms so I was excited to see this.  I love the smell and it feels nice on my lips.  This is definitely something I will use and I have never tried anything from this brand before, which is what these boxes are all about :)
Dr. Seuss by Bumpkins Melamine Bowl ($4.95). This is my first baby item and I actually have not bought any baby bowls yet (Amelia is only 4 1/2 months old) so this is a welcome addition.  Since ecocentric baby boxes don't ask for your baby's gender or age I think they must try to send gender neutral items, but who doesn't love the cat in the hat?
Bum Boosa Bamboo Baby Wipes (seven single wipes maybe $1). These wipes aren't bad, they are a good size and I like the lavender and orange oils in them, I actually use both in my homemade wipes. My only complaint is they are all packaged individually, it would have been nice if they had sent a travel pack of ten or even a whole package of wipes to try.  I suppose I will put them in my purse and diaper bag for when I need just one to wipe something off since opening several packages to change a diaper would be a pain.
Boogie Mist Unscented ($4.99). This is a gentle saline mist to help clear nasal passages.  I use saline mist for myself so I would imagine I will like this for my little one.  With cold and flu season coming up this is a good idea.
My True Nature Bubble Bath ($1.50 travel size). We tried this out in her bath this evening already.  It is unscented and definitely made lots of bubbles.  What is really nice is this company uses 100% organic ingredients and use 100% FDA approved recycled PET plastic bottle that can be reused and recycled.
TravelSpritz by SpritzBlitz ($5.99 full size). It looks like some boxes got the binky spritz and some the travel spritz.  These sprays do not contain any BPAs and use lemon and orange oil to kill germs.  They are a great size, 2oz, to keep in the diaper bag.  Last winter I was constantly wiping down public surfaces (like shopping carts) so this will go to good use!
Eve Organics "Dirty Hands" Hand Sanitizer ($6.95 full size).   This sanitizer is chemical free, vegan, and gluten free.  They use essential oils to kill germs as well.  This is also a 2oz size and will be easy to carry in my purse.  At first I thought two sanitizer sprays was a little much but I will put one in my purse and one in the diaper bag and will certainly use them.
There were also coupons for these products included as well as a coupon for seven 5x7 prints with free shipping from PostalPix which prints photos from your phone ($7.58). All totaled up the box had a value of $53.45 for this months box.  Since I only paid $18 this is a great value!  Boxes are $21 on a monthly basis but if you order a longer subscription they can get down to $17 a box.  It does automatically renew each month so you must cancel to end you subscription.  If you are interested in one of these three boxes click here.
I hope this review was helpful, thanks for stopping by!
