Weekly Wishes

                                                        The Nectar Collective
I missed writing last week, but I am back at it again!  I had a very eventful week to say the least.  My little girl turned one and I was busy getting everything ready for the party and I am no longer a co owner (or working) at the boutique (and men's store).  The first was very exciting (though a little sad that a whole year has gone by) and she had a great time at the party!  I had an awesome time celebrating her first birthday with family and friends, it really shows all the love we have in our lives.  The second was pretty hard to swallow.  I had been working at the boutique for over three years and had bought in this year.  I was taken by surprise when I was told they just thought our personalities and leadership styles were too different to make it in a long term partnership.  I wasn't expecting that and I am still a bit hurt over it, but now I need to get past it and start thinking about the future...  It is a bit strange to be thinking about what I want to do since I was so sure I had figured it out with that partnership.  Anyways I am really concentrating on all the positives in my life and there are so many things I am extremely grateful for!  Now that I have caught everyone up, onto this weeks wishes.

~  This week I want to take the time to really appreciate the many blessings in my life, including time with my precious daughter since time does go by so fast.  Hopefully this will also help me to decide what my plans will be going forward.

~ I didn't get a chance to take a whole lot of photos during Amelia's birthday party so I am hoping the weather will be nice enough we can get outside and get some good photos.  I am also thinking of doing a cake smash for pictures at home.

~  since I finished my book from a couple weeks ago I am onto the next!  I am reading A Fault in Our Stars so I would like to get some good reading time in.  Maybe if I get going on it I can convince my hubby to take me to the movie ;)

~ I would like to come up with some new lunch and supper ideas (especially recipes Amelia would also like).  I feel like we are always eating the same thing, perhaps I will have to look on Pinterest.  Do you have any great ideas for lunches and supper?

~ I need to get caught up on my blogging.  I fell behind in last week since I didn't really post anything so this week I would like to get in this post, my photography post, Thursday thoughts, and possibly something else for fun!

I think I will leave it at that for this week.  Of course there are always more things I could put on there but I want to give myself time to focus on a few at a time.  What are you getting done this week?

  1. Glad your daughter had a great birthday and sorry about your partnership not panning out. I truly believe the cliché, when one door closes another opens, you were simply meant for something better! Hope you have a wonderful week. :)

    1. I am feeling a little better about it this week and I am sure something great will come along. Otherwise maybe I was just meant to spend some extra time with my little girl

  2. Oh man, so sorry to hear about your job, that had to be quite a shock. Kudos to you for trying to be positive about it and reaching out to create a game plan instead of wallowing, which is what I think I would do!

Good luck with your goals this week!

    1. Oh I did the wallowing thing for a couple days and then decided it wasn't doing me any good and decided to be positive! It doesn't do me any good to dwell on it, after all it is in the past now.
