Week 50/52 More Snow

Are you ready to be surprised?  It snowed again this week.  Not surprised?  Me either :(.  I am afraid winter is here to stay in Minnesota and we are celebrating with lots of snow!  I did take Amelia out to see the snow falling, which she thought was pretty neat.  Most days the wind is way too cold but this particular day was fairly nice so she did alright (still didn't last very long but neither do I).  I will say photos in the snow can be a little tricky and I might need to practice a bit to get the exposure right.  Luckily I was shooting RAW so I was able to correct in post processing.  Now onto the photos, since thats what you are here to see!

She went running out of the garage and then threw me this look to see if I was coming ;).

Her cute new winter boots.

Must touch the snow.

She always takes her mittens off.  I need to find some that will stay on, any ideas?

Smile!

Well that is week 50 for you!  I can't believe only two weeks left for the Project 52.  It is really fun to be able to look back and see what we were doing and the improvement in photos as well!  Once again I want to say thank you to the people who are following along :).

The Crispery CrispyCakes GIVEAWAY

It is no secret that I have a major sweet tooth so I am extremely excited to share my love of CrispyCakes from The Crispery with you!  The Crispery makes these ah-maz-ing treats in small handmade batches and have a large variety of flavors to pick from.  Some of my favorites include pretzel surprise, smores, and sprinkles. They even recently came out with some gluten free options!  I was sent a Thanksgiving sampler box and it arrived very fast, only a couple days.  They had it wrapped up beautifully (great for gifts!) and tucked safely inside a larger box.  It is obvious they take great care to ensure it arrives intact.

My Thanksgiving sampler gift box was very festive and oh so cute!  They were almost too cute to eat.  Almost.  I love the little turkey and my favorite... sprinkles!!  These would make excellent hostess gifts for Thanksgiving, or they also have Christmas sampler boxes as well.  If buying as a gift I suggest also buying some for yourself, otherwise the temptation to eat your gifts will be great ;).

Now you can see up close the ooey gooey, marshmallowy goodness that is a CrispyCake!  Seriously I don't know how The Crispery does it but they are so soft and delicious, most definitely a gourmet treat.  I have made many rice crispy bars but after trying these they never compare.  Plus they are huge!  There are four servings per treat and if you have will power you could save some for later (easier said than done though).

CrispyCakes are Amelia approved as well, see I did share one ;).  She saw me sampling one (for reviewing purposes of course) and she snuck up and ran away with it.  Side note, she is dressed in a cowgirl outfit for Halloween in the pictures.  We needed a pre trick or treating snack but we saved some for later.

Now to the best part, The Crispery is giving away a CrispyCake sampler box to one of my readers!  Thats not all, The Crispery also provided coupon code CC15 to use on their site for 15% for everyone! For a chance to win simply use the rafflecopter widget below.  Good luck!

49/52 Snow and Pajamas

We had our first snow of the winter this week.  I was hoping for a little more snow free weather but it is Minnesota so at least we made it this long.  Amelia was pretty impressed with the snow, she kept saying "snow, snow, whoa!".  We had to go outside and check it out but she was pretty mad about having to wear mittens.  She was having a lot of fun exploring the snow until she took off her mittens and fell into the snow with bare hands.  That was the end of the snow for a bit.  I am sure she will have a lot more opportunities to play in the snow!  Since it is cold and snowy outside we decided to stay in and have a pajama day.

It was a nice start to the winter, we even made it out to the library for story hour.  Amelia loves going to story hour at the library.  It also helps to know we will be getting a break from the cold in January when we take a trip to San Diego for the month!

Only three weeks left for my Project 52 (formerly my Project 365).  It is hard to believe it has been a whole year since I started learning manual mode in the DSLR.  I have come a long way from the beginning and don't plan on stopping!  I really love taking photos of my little one and for others too.  Thanks for following along with my photography journey, see you next week!

Dr. Yum's Baby Teeth Cleaners Review

My daughter started getting teeth at about 11 months old and ever since I have been trying my best to maintain good dental hygiene with her.  It can be difficult since babies and toddlers do not always want to cooperate.  When she first started getting teeth we used tooth wipes.  These were fine until she started getting teeth on the bottom as well and my poor fingers were often getting bitten.  Baby teeth are a lot sharper than you might think because that hurts!  When I was contacted by Dr. Yums with these baby teeth cleaners I thought they sounded like a great idea so why not give them a try!

Dr. Yum's Baby Teeth Cleaners are little q-tips filled with a baby safe cleaning solution that coats the teeth to protect from plaque.  You click it and the solution dispenses on the tip of the q-tip and you simply wipe it along your baby's teeth.  They are not messy,  disposable, Amelia likes the taste, and are safe for babies.  I will admit these are probably best used when they are younger or for in between brushings.  Amelia is now one and a half and in a "I will do it myself" stage so this is probably not any easier than her toothbrush at the moment.  That said, when she was younger I really wish I had found these, they definitely would have saved my fingers!  I am going to keep some in the diaper bag though since they are awesome for traveling.  We are going on a trip in a couple months and these will be perfect to have on hand in the airport since they are a one time use product I won't have a wet toothbrush in my bag.

Overall I think this is a great product for younger babies.  Once they get into that toddler stage it will depend on the child, mine won't let me "help" her to really get all her teeth with the q-tip, but they are great for in between brushing.  Amelia really likes the taste and the ingredients are all safe for little ones.  I can't wait to travel with these as they are super convenient to throw in the bag and go! They would also make great stocking stuffers ;).

Fabletics November Review

Time to share some happy mail with you today!  I love getting my Fabletics package in the mail and this month was no exception.  A quick recap for any newcomers, Fabletics is an active wear company co founded by Kate Hudson, which offers a monthly membership (aka VIP) for high quality activewear at affordable prices.  I have been a VIP since Feb 2014 and I love it.  The 1st of each month Fabletics posts new outfits and you have from the first to the fifth to pick or skip.  It is a super nice feature to be able to skip a month if needed since most subscriptions do not offer that.  If you forget to pick or skip your account will be charged the $49.95 and you will have that credit to spend whenever you choose.  I set an alarm in my phone to remind myself, though they also send an email. This month I chose the Gather outfit and added the headband to my order.

Salar Leggings - I only looked at the outfits containing Salar leggings this month because they are my absolute favorite and I needed more!!  Seriously if you haven't tried them you are missing out, I wear them under dresses, with tunics, and of course you could also workout in them ;).  Since they are max compression I size up in these and get the mediums.  The fabric is soft and the max compression really holds everything in place.  Love, love, love these leggings!

Headband - This was my add on and it came just in time as today we are having our first big snow.  This headband fits nice and snug on my head and even has a hole in the back for your ponytail.  The hole is a nice concept but I must wear my ponytail too high because if I put it through then it doesn't cover my ears.  No big deal I just put it under the ponytail and it works like a charm.

Loveland Hoodie - I got this hoodie in teal and the color is beautiful.  It is a thin top so great for layering or wearing during a warm up.  I love how long the sleeves are and will get plenty of use out of it.

Another great outfit from Fabletics!  Fabletics starts at $49.95 a month and if you would like to try, you are in luck because first outfits are HALF OFF!  I love picking a new outfit each month and it can be great motivation to work out (I need to get back into working out and not just collecting workout wear).  Did you get Fabletics this month?  Which outfit did you pick?

Julep Maven November Review + Free Box Code

It's here!!  My November Julep Maven box has arrived and it is looking quite festive.  If you are not familiar, Julep Maven is a monthly nail polish and beauty box.  I love getting a monthly box in the mail, though Julep is different in that it is completely customizable.  Now, in case you are wondering there is an item missing.  Their new Go Big mascara was delayed in getting to their warehouse so it will be coming later but they already sent an email explaining with a bonus 950 jules.  Jules are points you earn and put towards maven boxes and add ons.  I am happy they decided to send the rest right away because it is hard to be patient ;).

Marzia is a gorgeous metallic chrome shimmer from the It Girl collection.  I really love this color and I think it will be the perfect accent color for some fun holiday nails.  Now I just need to come up with a design!  If you have any ideas for holiday nails I would love to see :).

Shari is described by Julep as a delicate sweet pea creme.  I was thinking Shari was more of a light pink  but after swatching she looks more on the nude side.  Either way she is fabulous, I love soft pinks and nude colors so this is right up my alley.  She also looks great with my skin tone which is always my concern with nudes.

This amazing palette was not in my box (I wish it was though!) but it is one of their holiday items you can preorder now.  I probably do not "need" another eye shadow palette however this is beautiful and needs to be shared!  Plus right now if you order, say, that pretty palette you would also get the above clutch full of goodies as a free gift.  If you have not, you should head over to Julep's website and check out their holdiay gift items and remember if you spend over $35 enter code SHINEDOWN for your free extras.

I love the colors I chose for November and seriously cannot wait to try their new mascara!  Julep Maven always has your first box free with code FREEBOX (you pay shipping) and after that it is $24.99 a month.  You can also sign up for three months which would bring the cost down to $19.99 a month.  Did you get a box this month?  Which colors did you choose?

48/52 My Little Cowgirl

Last week was Halloween, so I am sure it comes as no surprise that it is time for Halloween pictures!  This year Amelia went as a cowgirl.  I was going to have her go as Sheriff Callie but never got around to making the cat part of the costume (or a vest).  I think it turned out pretty cute, we were even able to borrow those adorable boots from a friend.  Amelia's favorite part of the costume was her hat.  We only went to one house trick or treating but we went to trunk or treating at our church and a Fall Festival at another church.  We had fun but I think next year she might get more of a kick out of trick or treating ;).

My photos are far from technically perfect this week but I love them anyways.  It was way too cold outside so I tried to rush quickly and the direct sun was not my friend.  Only 4 more weeks and I will have made it to 52 weeks :).  Thanks for following along!
